It's time once again for our annual meeting on Ethics.   Our meeting qualifies for 2 Ethics CPE hours.  

This year we have guest speakers from KPMG returning to deliver an engaging presentation.

Breakfast will be served at 8 am prior to the start of our session at 8:30 am, so please arrive early.

Learning Objectives: After attending this program, participants will be able to —

 

  • Understand social science research relating to matters of personal ethics, focusing on effect of demographic and cultural differences and environmental influences.
  • Recognize current ethics issues in tax practice, including the trend toward greater transparency.
  • Understand and discuss ethical guidance for tax professionals, including the Treasury Department’s Circular 230, the AICPA’s Code of Professional Conduct and Statements on Standards of Tax Practice, ABA Model Rules and Ethical Opinions, and TEI’s Standards of Conduct.
  • Apply the applicable rules to common ethical dilemmas faced by in-house tax professionals in tax practice.
